Information You Submit
A third-party provider receives the name, phone number, or address entered in a search form. Our servers do not retain a copy of those queries. When you send a message, we use its contents only to respond.
Routine Technical Data
Standard hosting logs may contain an IP address, browser type, viewed pages, and timestamps. Aggregate use helps maintain the service and show which pages are useful. Basic analytics or advertising measurement may also rely on cookies or similar tools.
How the Data Is Used
Technical data supports site operation, troubleshooting, traffic counts, and page improvements. We neither sell visitor lists nor create individual visitor profiles.
Links to Other Websites
We link out to county and state records portals, library collections, archives, and third-party search tools. Their privacy policies, not ours, govern what you submit there. That is especially true of the sponsored search results, which a third-party company provides.
Who Might See Your Data
The service providers that host and support the site process server logs for us. Analytics and advertising partners may receive the automatic data described above. We disclose data when a valid legal process requires it, and not otherwise.
How We Protect Your Data
The site runs over an encrypted connection and logs are kept only as long as the purposes above need them. There are no accounts here, so no password or profile of yours exists on this site to be exposed.
Users Under 18
The site is meant for adults and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18; if you believe a minor has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Your Data Rights
Privacy rights may allow a person to request access, correction, deletion, portability, or an opt-out for data held by a covered business. Louisiana Act 502 of 2026 is scheduled to take effect January 1, 2027, and its scope and exemptions should be checked once effective. Because very little data is retained here, a request normally means checking the contact mailbox and server logs. Use the Contact page to ask. Records held by Louisiana or Terrebonne Parish offices remain under the custodian's control, not ours.
Policy Changes
Revisions will appear here. Continued use after a posted revision indicates acceptance of the updated policy.
